GiGi serves on the Board of Directors, providing curatorial and administrative support. She is Washington D.C.’s resurgence of glitz, glamour, and allure. Armed with eyelashes and an arsenal of glitter she has enticed audiences with her clever blend of sass and wit. Lady GiGi Holliday had her start after studying the art of burlesque in Trixie Little’s Burlesque Bootcamp and graduated in May 2010 with a double major in class and sass and a minor in tit-elation.
When she is not melting her milk chocolate beauty all over the audience she uses her business attitude along with hard work she is the Entertainment Director, premier host and dancer for the La Boum Series, owner of Studio Holliday Burlesque Studio,Owner and Creative Director of Gi² Productions and Co-Founder and Co-Producer of the InDCent Arts Festival (Formerly known as Capital City Burlesque and Vaudeville Festival).
Nikki serves on the Board of Directors. Nikki Lane is an independent, interdisciplinary scholar trained as a Cultural and Linguistic Anthropologist currently teaching courses in American Studies at American University and in Women's Studies at the George Washington University. Her ethnographic research has dealt with issues in American Popular Culture, urban spatial politics, and sexual cultures throughout the African Diaspora. Her current book project, under contract with Palgrave MacMillan, is tentatively titled Ratchet: Race, Gender, Sexuality and the (Anti)Politics of Respectability and explores the use of the word “ratchet” in a community of Black queer women in Washington, DC.

An alumni of Duke Ellington High School, Sarah Lawrence College, and the Victorian Lyric Opera Company, Jason has lived and performed all over the world, including Paris, France. Mixing their background in music, theater, art, and fashion, Pussy Noir is an androgynous entity within the nightclub circuit and art galleries around the city. Jason continues to culture their act, giving their audience exuberant energy during performances and providing anti-drag image. Jason invites the audience to have a full sensory experience during a Pussy Noir performance.
As the founder of Chocolate City Burelsque and Cabaret Historical Society and current Social Media Content Manager, Chè Monique is an entrepreneur and burlesque performer. She guides the social media marketing strategy for CCBC. Ché dedicates herself to living out loud and in color, while encouraging others to do the same. Chè got her start on stage when she fell in love with bellydance as teen. Chè wears many hats from hosting shows, to writing and making her special whipped Chè Butter. Efa serves on the Board of Directors providing programmatic oversight for our historical preservation initiatives. In addition to founding Destiny Despite Diagnosis, DMV organization providing support for persons living with sickle cell anemia. In addition to working to improve health outcomes for patients and their families, she works with Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum, preserving and diffusing Washington D.C. History to visitors, curators and the public.
Eva serves on the Board of Directors, providing program oversight and curatorial support. Eva prides herself on fusing classic belly dance, tease and twerk; rendering devastatingly beautiful numbers that embody all that is feminine and magical. Eva Mystique made her cabaret debut with Brown Girls Burlesque and performs regularly with her home troupe, Chocolate City Burlesque and Cabaret.
In addition to performing with Chocolate City Burlesque and Cabaret, Eva is one third of the divine manifestation that is Serafemme, DC's premier neo-burlesque trio, and a member of the all Black hula hoop troupe, Nubian Spin. You can also find Eva at SAX Restaurant and Lounge, and Capitale for La Boum Brunch and La Boum Boum Room.
Shawn serves on the board of directors providing oversight with regard to entertainment curation and venue accessibility. He is a strategic communicator with a focus on marginalized communities and social change. An advocate for people with disabilities, Shawn builds online spaces that are inclusive and diverse. His experience includes creating meaningful, data-driven campaigns for AFL-CIO, SEIU, and countless black-owned businesses. When not working, he enjoys exploring D.C.'s diverse art scene, teaching friends how to take a proper selfie, and regular FaceTime chats with his eight nieces and nephews.
Midori is multi-talented producer, event planner and administrative whiz! After taking the glitter soaked plunge into burlesque, she never looked back. When she is not throwing her enticing charm at you from the stage, she can be found doing a multitude of activities including producing with Manic Pixie Nightmares and Midori Murder Mystery Events - DC's only fully interactive murder mystery party!
Leslie R. Hinkson serves on the Board of Directors as Philanthropy Chair. She provides oversight for all fundraising and development as well as historical preservation programming.
Dr. Hinkson is Professor of Sociology at Georgetown University. Her research explores the role and meaning of race across institutional contexts and its effect on educational, employment, and health outcomes. Before completing her Ph.D. in Sociology at Princeton University, Dr. Hinkson received her B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College and her M.S. in Urban Policy from the New School where she was a Graduate Fellow at the J.M. Kaplan Center for New York City Affairs. There, she conducted research on education policy, welfare reform, and workforce development and received an award for best Graduate Thesis. She has also worked as a consultant for the United Way of New York City, preparing policy briefs and organizational reviews for non-profit organizations in the fields of children and family services, workforce development, immigrant outreach programs, alternatives to incarceration programs, and community development.
Ártemis serves on the Board of Directors, providing organization oversight and support. He has worked in DC Theater since 2013 and first worked a CCBC show for Black Friday 2014 - which also happened to be his first exposure to burlesque. He loves burlesque specifically as a tool for empowerment of historically oppressed groups, and would love to help CCBC continue to thrive. He has experience as a technician and stage manager, as well as a production manager for GALA Hispanic Theatre and assistant production manager at TROIKA Entertainment, which takes large Broadway shows on national and international tours.
Hell O’Kitty serves on the Board of Directors, providing curatorial support and staff oversight. An Egyptian minx and the illegitimate daughter of Puss-n-Boots, Hell O'Kitty first pranced across the stage in 2013 with her playful brand of flirty feline fun.
As a proud founding member of Chocolate City Burlesque & Cabaret, as well as the DC Gurly Show and Serafemme, Ms. O'Kitty has graced the stages at Capital Pride, the GALA Hispanic Theatre, Honey Groove Queer Arts Festival, Jeezy's Juke Joint in Chicago, The Roux in New Orleans and the historic Howard Theatre.
Omolara serves on the CCBC Board of directors, providing costume design and historical is textile artist, arts educator, activist and community organizer. Since moving to DC in 2011 she has worked in DC based community organizations developing community engagement and educational programming initiatives that use art to ignite social consciousness and instigate social change. Her active engagement in the Black Lives Matter movement involves organizing communities to participate in art based protest actions; working with local organizers and organizations to create infrastructure for the local movement; and spending time to intentionally practice self-care and self-love.
Nona Narcisse serves on the Board of Directors, providing curatorial support and budget oversight. She has worked and performed with many musicians, burlesque troupes, and productions in New Orleans La., Chicago, Orlando, NYC, Richmond Va., Baltimore, Washington DC, and Ascona, Switzerland.
Nona has theater, clown, and mime training from the Celebration Barn Theater. She has posed as a model for artists and photographers in the bustling and vibrant New Orleans scene since 2007. She has been a guest instructor at Bella Blue's New Orleans School of Burlesque. She is invited to perform regularly at Trixie Minx's weekly Burlesque Ballroom Revue(NOLA), and is hired by Angela Eve of Chicago, Johnny Porkpie (NYC), Maria Bella of Baltimore, and Angie Pontani (NYC) among many others to perform in their tours and productions.
Nona has been hired by The Cab Calloway Orchestra, Sailor Jerry, New Orleans Rum, Captain Morgan, The Baltimore Cultural Alliance, and many private corporate clients in Baltimore and Washington DC to perform, act, dance and model at their special events.
Dainty Dandridge serves as Board President and Executive Director. She manages executive administrative responsibilities for the organization at large, as well as general program fundraising support. This chanteuse and ecdysiast ingenue has teased and pleased audiences across the globe. Dainty is the darling showgirl who'll make you say OH GRRRRL!
Kristen “Angel” Briscoe serves on the Board of Directors as Executive Board Secretary. She burst onto the burlesque scene in 2013, but was no stranger to the stage, dancing since she was 4. Burlesque provided an opportunity for her to combine her dance training with her sexy side. Kristen Briscoe, a Northern Virginia native, is a classically trained dancer turned actress.
Angel began her acting career as a dancing extra in short film. She has since been an extra on House of Cards and VEEP. She has earned supporting or lead roles in many independent films and stage productions. She made her first national television debut as a supporting actress in TV One's show, "For My Man," then later earned a lead role in that same series the following season as well as a lead role in BET's series premier of, "Criminals At Work." Although she enjoys film and television, the stage is her home. She continues to perform with many dance and musical theatre groups in the DMV area.
Billie Beloved serves on the Board of Directors. She is a passionate purveyor of the arts, providing administrative and curatorial oversight for our organization at-large. As a classically trained sculptress, Billie B. elevates both libidos and the art of the tease to their highest forms, and she does so with a smile and a brain. Her silliness bubbles from inspiration of the great Ms. Baker, and her love of love stems from Lady Day.
Chicava HoneyChild serves on the Board of Directors providing oversight for our historical preservation initiatives. She is a burlesque danseur, actor and producer. Long time Creative Producer of New York City's Brown Girls Burlesque creating traditional, political and theatrical burlesque . She received her MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College her areas of interest being performance art, women of color in burlesque heritage, and sacred sexuality and spirituality.
Chicava has presented work at Yale University, The New Museum, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater, and many a burlesque venue petit and grand. Currently she is working on a documentary and book on the legacy of Women of Color in burlesque and developing her technique Sacred Burlesque the goal of which is to generate Feminine Sovereignty, the core concept the grew out of her graduate work. Sacred Burlesque is at healing modality, performance art and set of tools.
